On their first date, João didn’t waste any time. He told Lily—quite abruptly—that he was a father and then invited her to their second date: his son Noah’s fifth birthday party. That day, Lily not only met Noah, who she quickly realized was the most amazing kid in the world, but she also met João’s entire extended family and closest friends. It was a crash course on his life, and Lily knew right away that this was a love that would last.
